Stabilizes Rear Ankle for Sprains, Strains & Post-Surgery Care
Materials: SBR
Closures: Multi-point hook-and-loop straps for even pressure
Edges: Soft binding to minimize rubbing on skin and coat
Weight: Lightweight for a natural gait
Dog Hock (Tarsal) Support Braces give your dog steady rear-ankle support during recovery—without bulky hardware. This dog hock (tarsal) brace helps stabilize the joint, limit over-flexion, and reduce irritation from everyday movement so sprains, strains, and post-op sites can heal more comfortably.
Targeted hock stabilization: Supports the tarsal (rear ankle) joint to ease stress on ligaments and tendons.
Adjustable, non-slip fit: Wide hook-and-loop straps let you dial in tension; anti-twist design helps prevent sliding.
Comfortable daily wear: Soft, breathable fabric with light padding for walks, rest, and car rides.
Washable & quick-dry: Easy to clean for hygienic, odor-free use.
Universal left/right: Fits either rear leg; order two for bilateral support.
Cone companion: Limits access to the area; pair with an e-collar for determined lickers.
Note: This is a supportive brace (not a rigid splint or weight-bearing device).
Sprains/strains and mild ligament irritation of the hock
Post-surgery stabilization as advised by your veterinarian
Arthritis or age-related instability in the rear ankle
Dogs that over-flex the hock during activity
Measure before ordering for the best result.
Upper leg circumference – just above the hock
Lower leg circumference – just below the hock
Coverage height – distance from above to below the joint where the brace will sit
Fit Tips
If between sizes, choose the larger size for comfort.
Straps should be snug, not tight—use the two-finger rule under each strap.
Recheck fit after 10–15 minutes of movement and adjust if the brace rotates.
Identify the affected rear leg (left or right).
Open all straps; align the center of the brace over the hock.
Fasten bottom to top, applying even tension.
Let your dog walk a few steps; re-seat if you notice twisting or slipping.
Start with short sessions (20–40 min), then increase as tolerated.
Close straps before washing.
Hand wash or machine wash cold, gentle; air dry only.
Inspect skin and coat daily for redness, moisture, or hair matting.
